Workshop #3 - Sustainable Packaging; Recyclability and Packaging Trends

Recycling rates for plastic packaging are relatively low around the globe. Plastic packaging makes up nearly half of all plastic waste generated globally, and less than one-fifth of it is recycled, even less in Singapore.

As part of the Packaging Partnership Programme Workshop Series, the third workshop held on 3 March 2021 focused on providing an overview of Singapore’s waste management eco-system and tips to help participants make their packaging more recyclable.

There were more than 70 business representatives from different industries, such as packaging producers and food manufacturers, present at the workshop.
