The Packaging Partnership Programme (PPP) held a visit to TOMRA Singapore’s Resource Transformation Centre on Wednesday, 15 June 2022.

Representatives from TOMRA shared on the different types of Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) that TOMRA manufactures, along with case studies of the application of RVMs in various countries. TOMRA representatives also shared on how the RVMs contribute to the circular economy and its potential to contribute to the local sustainability field.
PPP members had the opportunity to try out these RVMs at the Centre and understand the mechanism of how the RVMs work and contribute to the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). PPP members engaged in conversations with representatives from TOMRA as they discussed how Singapore would benefit from the DRS and how it would impact the companies.
